Sunscape Farms 2026 CSA FAQ

You can sign up in the following ways:

• Sign up online by clicking here.
   
• After our farm market opens in mid-April, you can stop by during open hours and pay with cash, check or credit. If you prefer, you can call during open hours and pay over the phone. 
   
• If you would like to mail a check, please email Courtney@sunscapefarms.com to request a paper registration form. 

Pickup Day Options: We removed Mondays and added Fridays as a pickup day option for our Penfield location. Fridays have been long requested as a pickup day because many member families like do do shopping/meal prep or planning on the weekends. Also, this helps on our end due to staffing and logistics. That being said, we still have a lot of things to juggle on Fridays due to our other commitments and are not able to offer Fridays as a Greece pickup day at this time. 

Summer CSA Length: We shortened the CSA from 18 weeks to 17 weeks starting in 2025. Our weather has been too variable, with late freezes and other stressful and difficult growing conditions. We can provide a better experience for all of our CSA members if our CSA starts in late June each year.

Pricing Changes: We increase pricing the minimum amount possible that still allows us to give our staff yearly raises and absorb the increase in input costs. We work hard to ensure that the CSA program is a premium product with a great value and are honored by the support of our community. We do not take your support and membership lightly and do everything we can to keep prices fair for everyone. 

The 2026 CSA season will start the week of June 29. All registered members will recieve advance notice of the first pickup day via email. 

The CSA will be 17 weeks long, and you are guaranteed 10-15% more produce by value than you paid for, according to our farm market pricing. 

Over the course of the season, the produce you receive will be approximately 30-35% fruit (by value) and the rest vegetables. There is a great mix of each and you will enjoy the excellent variety!

• Yes, if you've made an informed decision to do so, both families will be authorized to pick up. 
• Please keep in mind that the Full Share will come in one box. Members are expected to pick up the box and split it with their sharing member on their own (we have a drive-through pickup that needs to keep moving).
• The Full Share rarely splits evenly. This is because it was designed for a single large family who didn’t necessarily want twice as much of each item as the Half Share, but needed more produce overall. Compared to the Half Share, there are increased amounts of some items, same amounts of other items, and some additional items (the half share receives these items in the following weeks, too, so they don't miss out).
• Both share types have the same value guarantee, 10-15% more produce than you pay for over the course of the season, according to our farm market pricing.
• If you prefer, you could purchase two half shares to guarantee a fair split and that you’d receive the same varieties. 

When you register for your CSA share, you choose which of the following locations is closest to you:

On your online or paper application, you'll choose a particular pickup day on which you will come to your chosen pickup location for your box. Some pickup days sell out more quickly than others.
 

• Pickup day options at Creek St are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 12pm - 7pm.
   
• Pickup day options at Maiden Ln are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 12pm -7pm. 

If you need to change your pick-up day, you can contact us ahead of time at courtney@sunscapefarms.com.

If you are not able to pick up your share, you can choose to have a friend or family member pick it up for you. They will only need your full name to pick up your share; we'll ask for their name as well for our records. 

The other option is to donate your share to a needy family. Sunscape Farms supports local charities and food pantries and if you contact us ahead of time, we will find a family to whom we'll donate your box. 

If neither option works for you, please contact us at least two business days in advance and we can usually reschedule your pickup.

If we didn't hear from you at least two days in advance and you didn't pick up your box during your pickup window, we will save your missed box and/or flowers until 6pm (summer CSA) or 5pm (Fall Harvest Box) the following day. At that time, your share or its value will be donated to a local charity or family experiencing food insecurity and will no longer be available. 

We will provide you with a collapse-able box. Please return it! Thanks for helping us take care of the Earth!

Yes! For your planning convenience, we post a CSA newsletter online using a password-protected page (access info is sent out to all registered members via email). The newsletter will list what you should expect to see in your box that week along with some recipe suggestions focused on the produce in that week's box!

We allow up to 2 item exchanges per week, as a last resort for those with allergies or who absolutely can't use or give away a certain item. A staff member will help you exchange the item for one of equal value from our farm market. 

Remember, each summer CSA Member will receive a CSA Member Card that gives them 10% off additional purchases at the Creek St. and Maiden Ln farm markets for the ENTIRE season! That includes fall decor and Christmas trees that we offer after the CSA ends!

Please note that in the case of already discounted items, we will give you whichever single discount is higher.
